A program for sharing and learning about school leadership and development, with the HMs of 13 BBMP schools in Bengaluru.
The program will comprise 7 workshops (first Friday of each Month), with interactions between workshops over virtual phone communities. Readings will be assigned and presented to facilitate discussions.
Session 1 - School leadership in context / ಅಧಿವೇಶನ 1 - ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲಾ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ
- Fill up Participant information form
- Introductions - Basic information about myself and my school
- Introduction to Community of Learning and school leadership - "Presentation and discussions - Why is a Community of Learning useful – school, teachers, parents as "learning community"
- Presentation of the overall program
- Understanding our context - reading ಪ್ರಭಾವ ವಲಯ ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಲಯ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನಾ ಪತ್ರ ("COI COC), presentation + discussions. Documenting discussions in a concept map
- Assign reading - ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಗುರಿಗಳು (Aims of Education - NCF 2005 Position paper excerpt)
- Home work - Identify ONE incident / event in which you had both ಪ್ರಭಾವ ವಲಯ ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಲಯ

- Buy a smart phone - RedMi, Micromax and get Internet - 100 Rupees per month for data

- Building your teachers as a learning community
- Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) - discussion.
- Demonstration. How ICT can enrich content and pedagogy - demonstrate in maths, science, language, SS
- Brief hands-on on the educational applications
- NCF Position papers in different subjects translated into Kannada, useful for your school teachers

Session 6 - School and community + Seminar / ಅಧಿವೇಶನ 6 - ಶಾಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯ + ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣ
- School and community of parents. Presentation and discussion on reading

- Demonstration of IVRS

- Presentation on 'what I learnt and implemented'. Each HM presents the project they have developed and implemented. Can this idea be useful to other schools?
Session 7 - Putting it together, and taking it forward / ಅಧಿವೇಶನ 7 - ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುವುದು
