Introduction

Preetilata Waddedar was an activist who attacked the armoury at Chittagong on January 22. She raided like a volcano and vanished.

Aruna Asaf Ali, broke the heavily cordoned off area and unfurled the tricolour.This made the police to get sleepless nights and a sense of defeat.

Kashibai,the widowed lady of Desai's family,Jainapur.She brought a Rolls Royce car. Once the DC of Bijapur asked her car for the use of his higher officer.She refused to give her car and told him that she would use it for drying cow dung cakes.That made him angry and he cancelled it's registration.Then she stuck to her word

Padmavatibai Burli, wife of great freedom fighter Bindacharya Burli. He breathed patriotism and lived patriotism. Padmavatibai led her silent protest against the British by feeding the freedom fighters. Once she was arrested while serving to Shakuntala Dabade and Shantabai Karmarkar.

Sarojini Naidu, known as 'the Nightingale of India' also a follower of Gandhiji and translated his philosophy of non-violence into reality.

Capt. Laxmi Swaminathan, was the commander of the Rani of Jhansi Regiment, the women's wing of the INA founded by Bose. She fought and defeated the British at Rangoon.

Kamaladevi Chattopadhyaya, was a freedom and led many struggles.She was a poetess, an artist and inspired through her writings.
