A Karmayogi retires from government service
Mr. Mohammed Najibulla Baig ('Baigsaab') joined the Karnataka Education Services (KES) as an 'Additional Educational Officer' (AEO) in Gundlupet taluka in the then undivided Mysore district in 1978, and retired on April 30 as Director RMSA after a rich and distinguished service of around 35 years. This is a brief and selective exploration of that journey.

In an earlier mail, I discussed how a 'e-book' could be a source of thousands of texts/learning resources which teachers/schools could use and at the same time not be a 'physical burden' for the learner.

The coming year (2009-10), we plan to add the School Leadership and Management (SLM) component to the MDP, and the current MDP will also continue to remaining districts.
SLM is an important area within ELM (Education Leadership and Managment). Some initial ideas on the content of such a program are given below (my own loud thoughts - pls share your own thoughts and comments too. Also the blog has part of my thoughts, see attached file).
