Activity No # 1 - Observation of cell

==Estimated Time== - 30 minutes

Materials/ Resources needed

A compound microscope,an onion,glass slide,phenopthalien,watch glass etc.

Prerequisites/Instructions, if any

Students are asked to keenly observe the slide and note the distinct parts seen.

Process (How to do the activity)

  1. Peel 2 to 3 pieces of skin of an onion and place it in 3 different glass slides.
  2. Add a drop of water and a drop of phenopthalien on the materials and slowly cover the watch glass on the material.
  3. Mount the slide on the microscope and observe the better slide among the three.
  4. Observations written in an organized format - aim of the experiment, method and questions below are to be answered in the observation
