Process (How to do the activity)
- Draw a triangle with following measures - BC = 5 cms, AC = 3 cms, AB = 7 cms (BC as the base). ‘Play’ the construction protocol navigator to understand the construction, after students have constructed on their own
- What kind of triangle is it?
- What kind of triangle is it - by sides?
- What kind of triangle is it - by angles?
- Would it be possible to draw a triangle, if AB was changed to 9 cms? Why
- Would it be possible to draw a triangle, if AB was changed to 8 cms? Why
- What kind of triangle is it?
Draw the altitude from vertex A to segment BC. Label the intersection as D
Measure its length. Measure ∡ADB and ∡ADC.
Measure the area of the triangle ABC
