Process (How to do the activity)
- Draw a triangle with following measures - AB = 8 cms, ∡CAB = 40, BC = 6 cms (BC as the base)
‘Play’ the construction protocol navigator to understand the construction, after students have constructed on their own
- What kind of triangle is it?
- What kind of triangle is it - by sides?
- What kind of triangle is it - by angles?
- The circle drawn from point B, intersect RAY AC in a second point ‘E’.Will Triangle ABE fulfil the requirements of the construction? What can you infer from this construction specifications.
- What kind of triangle is it?
(Hint – if a set of specifications can allow us to draw more than one triangle, then it is not a unique specification).
