Objectives:
To assess students’ abilities in speaking
Process:
Part 1 :
The ‘Pick and Speak’ activity is planned to assess speaking abilities of an individual child where they had to identify and describe the specific object which they come across in their daily life.
Each child was asked to select any number among 12 numbers from the tab. They had to open the image and identify the object, if the child was able to identify the object we would ask them to describe about that object both in English and Kannada. there we had focus on wheather the child is able to identify the object,he would try to tell in
Part 2 (only Kannada) : If one round of this is completed with most students scoring 3 or 4, let them pick chits again, this time containing a complete question to which they can think for a minute and give the answer in at least 3 sentences. Questions would be related to their day-to-day life such as:and following that child need to respond in few lines about selected questions related to their life and experiences.
English :
1. What do you like to do in your free time? Why?
2. What do you do every day before and after school?
3. Which is your favourite game, and how is it played?
Kannada :
1. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಿಡುವಿನ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಏನು ಮಾಡಲು ಇಷ್ಟಪಡುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಏಕೆ?
2. ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ಮೊದಲು ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಲೆಯಿಂದ ಹೋದ ನಂತರ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಏನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ?

7. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಿದೆಯೇ? ಏಕೆ ಅಥವಾ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನು ಇಷ್ಟ ?ಏಕೆ
