There is an increased focus on child safety in the aftermath of the incident in a private school in Bangalore, where a 6 year old child was assaulted. Bangalore Police have issued child safety guidelines directing all schools (including government schools) to install closed circuit TV (CCTV) for monitoring. In Mysore, schools have been asked to set up committees to handle this issue.
