"CCE is to promote quality learning.  It aims at making the teacher as well as the taught reflect over their practices and bring changes.  Slowly the learner should move towards independent learning and the teacher should become a reflective practioner.  Pl ask yourself if our preoccupation with marks and ranks and the like would facilitate this. They might learn one thousand things.   But they will never be able to arrive at the next thing. There is a state-wide or even nation wide misunderstanding of CCE.   In fact formative assessment is more meant for reflection than recording. The focus here is to form learning.
