Process (How to do the activity)
Take a Convex Lense and place it before a thick book which has a dark background.Keep a Comb in front the Lense. Now pass the light using the torch through the lense.Observe the path of the light rays. They converge at a point.
Now replace the convex lense with the concave lense and continue the procedure and obseve the path of the light rays. They appear as diverging from a point
Developmental Questions (What discussion questions)
- Name the types of Lenses
- What happens when light rays pass through the glass ?
Evaluation (Questions for assessment of the child)
- Which lense converges the light rays?
- Which lense diverges the light rays?
Question Corner
List out the uses of Convex and Concave Lenses in our daily life
