Activity - Calculation of simple probability

Process (How to do the activity)

  1. Divide class into three activities. Children into groups of 2/3 but different groups.
  2. Experiments include:
    1. tossing a coin and recording the results
    2. pulling out a red/ green/ blue pencil from a collection of colour pencils
    3. rolling a dice and record the number of times each number comes up

Developmental Questions (What discussion questions)

  1. Make the table for each of the activities as given on Page 94
  2. Make the connection between event and the number of times it occurs
  3. Discuss the example 2 on Page 95
