District workshop preparation

Following are required to be in place for effective district training of teachers

  1. State Resource Group (SRG) to coordinate the district workshops.
  2. 5 MRPs per subject per district
  3. ICT Lab (Identify suitable BEd., DEd, Engineering college labs or setup Lab in DIET)
    1. UBUNTU (Kalpavriksha) installation on all computers
    2. Internet connectivity (minimum 8 MBPS)
    3. One teacher per computer
    4. Encourage teachers to bring their personal laptops
  4. Resource handout for each teacher
  5. Ubuntu DVD (Kalpavriksha) for each teacher
  6. Digital Resource folder created in the digital content workshops

District technology support

  1. MIS coordinator (CliX)
  2. Teachers group

District workshop implementation

In each workshop, the MRPs will have to do following:

  1. add teachers to the virtual community (google, telegram)
  2. prepare and share in the community, workshop reports and photos
  3. prepare and share Kalpavriksha (custom Ubuntu) DVD copies
  4. conduct video conference with SRG and with other districts
  5. tech support including for installation in district labs and teacher laptops
  6. collect participant feedback (google form)

Support Activities

  1. RMSA school grant – purchase laptop and projector in each school
  2. ensure one projector in each school
  3. ensure one laptop in each school
  4. exposure visit to Karnataka and Kerala (district programs)
  5. Interest free loan to teachers for purchasing laptops
