Process (How to do the activity)
- Exploring vertically opposite, exterior angles – 2 periods
- Quadrilateral – 4 periods
- Angle sum property proof (paper folding and geogebra verification). (3 periods)
- Explore the properties of triangles and quadrilaterals with paper folding/ tracing.. Measurement of real object surfaces (4 periods)
- Explore congruency with paper folding and rotating (demonstrate using Geogebra) – (4 periods)
If time is short some can move to second term
- Measurement of area (2 periods)
- Introduce Euclid's axioms with paper folding activities, follow it up with Geogebra (6 periods)
- Introduce constructions (if possible in Term I; if not move to Term II)
- Use screenshots from Geogebra for practice problems.
- Emphasise measurements and formal methods of writing
- Postpone logical proof until second term. After they learn to construct
- All paper folding/ cutting/ measurement activities are FA activities.
