The students should know types of lines and the concept of intersection.

Non digital: Paper and pencil

Process (How to do the activity)

  1. The teacher can ask the students to explore from their surroundings to identify concurrent lines.
  2. She can elicit examples from edges of books, walls, pencil boxes, black board etc.

  2. What are line segments ?
  3. What are intersecting lines and non-intersecting lines ?
  4. What are parallel and non-parallel lines ?
  5. What are concurrent lines ?
  6. What concurrent lines do you identify from your surroundings ?
  • Evaluation:
  1. Are all types of lines concurrent ?
  2. Are parallel lines concurrent ?

  1. Differentiate between concurrent lines and collinear points.
