The four points of a proper SWOT analysis are Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. Strengths and Weaknesses focus on internal factors, while Opportunities and Threats look at external factors.
- Strengths. Your Strengths are internal positives about your school that you can control. Some examples might be the quality of your teachers, school physical infrastructure, network of teachers in other government schols etc.
- Weaknesses. A Weakness is an internal attribute that negatively takes away from your Strengths, e.g. teacher vacancies, poor infrastructure.
- Opportunities. An Opportunity is an external factor that is likely to contribute to your potential success. Support from the local community or political representative for your work, incentives for students to attend school
- Threats. A Threat is an external factor that you have no control over, which could negatively impact your success. e.g. English medium school has opened nearby.
