School excursion

In our school we are planning for a school trip of 7-8 days. I request all the forum members to suggest your ideas, experiences and opinions about the places, worth visiting.

Objectives of excursion

1. We want to take our children to places where they will get the motivation for pursuing higher studies in Physical, Mathematical Sciences and Technology.

Places

We want to take our children to places of scientific and engineering importance like

1. highly automated factories,
2. power plants,
3. DRDO centres,
4. premier scientific and research centre,
   1. Agastya Foundation Lab near to Kuppam, near Kolar, they have very nice science labs. They will arrange for stay and meals of children with minimal fee/sometimes free.. you should contact Mrs.Janani in advance (suggestion from Shambhu Sir)
5. Navy Army Air-force bases & museums,
6. Planetariums,
7. Science centre,
8. IT Parks,
9. Fun Science centre, etc.
