Workshop short report

1st Day. 30/12/2014

The workshop began with a brief introduction to Subject_Teacher_Forum by Prabhuswamy principal diet shimoga and Suresha and Ganapathi lecturer diet shimoga explained the workshop agenda to participants and took their feedback. Nagaraj explained Ubuntu software and KOER as a Teacher Resource. Teachers to Learn and Share our ideas and explain the necessity of an STF. In the afternoon, teachers learnt about Internet access and how to download different kind of resources and create their own 'personal digital libraries'. Some teachers did not have email ids, their email ids were created and they joined the mathssciencestf email forum.

2nd Day. 31/12/2014

Morning session was started by Nagaraj with the interesting software in UBUNTU that is GEOGEBRA. All members email id's were taken. And some were created for those who dont have ids. Yuvaraj continued and explained to how to work on Geogebra. he explained all the tools one by one with examples. After explaining, all the teachers prepared their own GeogebraWorkshop Report.

3rd Day. 01/01/2014

The third day stf training started at 9.30am. The session was started by yuvaraj on mind map. He gave a detailed information about the mind map by demonstrating it like how to make mind map,how to format it,edit it, how to organise it and so on.All the participants email ids were joined to mathssciencestf group. By the time tea was ready all the trainees take tea and ready to refresh the next session. In the next session MRPs gave an activity based on bisectors to the trainees and she demonstrated the class on quadrilaterals of 9th standard mathematics test books based on Geogebra. After this session had a lunch break. Afternoon first session was started by Nagaraj with a detailed information about KOER, which involved how to start up with KOER, why KOER came into existence. Nagaraj sir insisted that KOER is for the teacher,by the teacher,of the teacher which means the information available in the KOER can be edited, used. After this session,every team was given some topics to go through it on the koer and were instructed to add extra content if required and also she told us to upload an activity to the cerned topics.

4th Day. 02/12/2014

In the campus of DIET, Shimoga the workshop of stf mathematics continued with the first session . Mrps demonstrated us that how to plot a dct and tct on the concept of Quadratic Equations. Every trinees learn the method of ploting dct and tct themselves by solving various problems by ggb method. After a tea break work continued,the trainer taken a theory class on the UBUNTU software. He discuss with the trainees by giving more information about the tools that can be used in the Ubuntu software. Trainees had a lot of questions on the applications of various tools in the Ubuntu software and got the clarifications.

5th Day. 03/12/2014

The 5th day STF MRP training was started at 9.30 am. All participants were exploring the KOER website. Morning session we plotting a graph a line and plotting a graph of a quadratic equation. After tea break, Nagaraj explained KOER in detail and asked every participants contribute atleast two activities on a particular topic to KOER. After lunch break 2 to 5 o'clock .Once again we browse the 10 topic pages on koer and contribute the 1 resource to koer. Then incentre and circum-centre were constructed using geogebra . All the trainees completed this work. The training ended with participants feedback by each participant in the prescribed format and submitting the same to koer. Thank you once again.

Workshop short report

1st Day

1 st day report of mathematics stf district training .batch 2,diet-shimoga. The training commenced at 10.30 am with inuagural speech of DDPI, DIET-Shimoga, Prabhuswamy sir. Then the vice principle gave a brief picture about the training. All the members enrolled in and 1st session of introduction about STF was given by MRP Yuvaraj. Then the key features of the current programme were given by another MRP Nagaraj T E. After tea break introduction about computers and operating systems was given by Yuvaraj. Discussions went on on ubuntu os by trainees. After the lunch, session took movement as per agenda in which a detailed information about internet.www, different websites, web browsers was given by Nagaraj. The trainees become aware of internet usage. Then all trainees involved in searching different websites and browsing and koer page navigation. The day ended at 5.30 with creation of some email ids of trainees.

ಶ್ರೀ ಯೂವರಾಜ್, ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು, ಎರಡನೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಜೀಯೋಜೀಬ್ರಾ ಟೂಲ್ಸನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿ ತ್ರಿಭುಜಕ್ಕೆ ಪರಿವೃತ್ತ ರಚಿಸುವ , ಪರಿತ್ರಿಜ್ಯ ಅಳೆಯುವ ಹಾಗೂ ವೃತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಹ್ಯ ಬಿಂದುವಿನಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಕಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುವ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಇ ಮೈಲ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲಾಯಿತು. ನಂತರದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿಯೋಜಿಬ್ರದ ಟೂಲ್ಸ್‍ಗಳಾದ ಇನ್ಸರ್ಟ್ ಇಮೇಜ್‍ನ ಬಳಕೆ, ಹೊಸ ಟೂಲನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುವ ಹಂತಗಳನ್ನು ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಅಪರಾಹ್ನದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೆನ್ ಡ್ರೈವನ್ನು ಜಿಯೋಜಿಬ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಕೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಯೂವರಾಜ್, ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ನಂತರ ಜಿಯೋಜಿಬ್ರದ ಸ್ಲೈಡರ್ ಟೂಲ್ಸ್‍ನ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು. ಅದನ್ನು ಶಿಭಿರಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಬಾಹು ಮತ್ತು ಕೋನಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕಲಿತರು. ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಶಿಭಿರಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದರು. ವಿರಾಮದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲದಿಂದ ಗಣಿತದ ವಿವಿಧ ವೀಡಿಯೋಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುವ ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಯೂವರಾಜ್, ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಇದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮೂರನೇ ದಿನದ ತರಬೇತಿಯು ಸಂಪನ್ನಗೊಂಡಿತು.
