Teacher will ask the children the following questions to know their previous knowledge .
QUESTIONS TO POSE ON CHILDREN:
- How can a cloth merchant measures cloth ?
- How can a tailor takes measurements to stitch ?
- Name the instruments which are useful to measure lengths ?
- Do you know which geometrical instrument is useful to measure angles ?
- Name the geometrical instruments which is useful to draw arc's ?
OBJECTIVES TO BE ACHIEVED WITH THIS ACTIVITY: with this activity the children can think about some measuring instruments which they familiar in their daily life and also teacher's can understand the pupils previous knowledge.
TIME DURATION TO PERFORM THIS ACTIVITY : 20 min./depends on class strength.
