A brief discussion was held after each group presented their interpretation of the story. The focus was mainly on creating pegs for conversation and in the process some new words along with its meaning and usage were introduced. Also, students were encouraged to share their thoughts and views.

The principle essence of any language learning class is the need for continuous formative assessment. Hence, the students are assessed in each class taking in to account their level of participation/ their involvement in various activities conducted in the class and helping them build their language skills by creating a stree-free and input rich environment.

Objectives:-

3.To encourage students to share their thoughts or interpretation of the story.

4.To create a stress free environment for students to have an uninhibited discussion.

Estimated Time:-

Approximately 30 minutes for a class consisting of 8 groups with 5-6 students in each group(Time may vary depending upon the class strength)

Materials/ Resources needed:-

  • The video story of ‘The Brinjal king’( other such stories can be used which are age appropriate and has lots of elements.
  • Projector and screen et

Prerequisites/Instructions, if any :-

  • Ask students to watch the video attentively.

Process (How to do the activity)
