Process (How to do the activity)
A triangle is a three sided closed figure
Draw triangle ABC
Vertices - A, B and C
Sides – AB, BC and AC .
(AC can also be called as CA, AB as BA)
Angles - ∡abc, ∡cba ∡acb (Middle letter is the vertex of the angle. First and third letters are points on the sides of the angle)
A triangle has 3 vertices, 3 sides and 3 angles. Which of these need to be specified to draw a triangle?
Draw the altitude from vertex A to segment BC. Label the intersection as D
Measure its length. Measure ∡ADB and ∡ADC.
Measure the area of the triangle ABC
