The focus of this activity is to develop digital stories for a teaching-learning situations - examples, creating a photo essay for documenting an event or a place, comic strips to tell a story (graphic novels) and an audio recording for sharing understanding. The focus on all of these activities is to demonstrate possibilities of using digital stories to express understanding and learning without focusing exclusively on text based traditional teaching methods.

# Teachers have to decide the list of places for visiting.

# Teachers have to discuss and decide the institutions/places to visit and its aims

# HM/class Teachers need to go and meet in-charge person of visiting places and get permission from them for students visit and interactions.

# Teachers need to discuss and prepare 1st level basic questionnaires for student to ask.

# Teachers have to do students groups(group should have all level students and minimum 4 students in a group, max 10) and allocate each teacher to each student group.

# Teachers have to explain to the students about DST activities and the advantages.

# From each students team, teachers need to select one student as team leader.

# Teachers have to help students to prepare basic questionnaires about the visiting institutions/places.

# Need to make student groups, if students strength is 25, then we can make 4 groups and each group will visit a different place.<br/>Example: 1^st group - Post office<br/>2^nd group - Police station<br/>3^rd group - Milk Diary <br/>4^th group – Shop

# Then students have to prepare list of questions for asking.  

# The group leader will lead their team, along with students, one teacher should be with the group.

# Students must read the textbook chapter which is related to their visiting place, so more doubts will come to their mind and they can get clarification from the staff.

# On the event day students have to take Pen and notebook with them for noting down the details.

# After all the preparations for the event. On the event day, students have to sit with their groups and recollect all the questionnaires from students.

1 After all the preparations for the event, on the day of event students have to sit with their selected group, along with teachers.<br/>a. General precautions when they are walking on the road and behavior in visiting place.<br/>b. Within the groups, need to make small groups, so each sub groups have to take care of their work :-  <br>

# when students are going to the institutions/places, teachers should take care of the student travel.

# Teachers have to meet the institutions incharge person and show the permission letter which HM took before.

# Now, students will start asking questions to them.

# And students have to note down their responses and some students have to take some photos, record audio's and record videos by using camera and sound recorder. Take pictures as many as possible.

2 Once again have to explain to all students about objectives and advantages of the event. <br>

# after completions, will come back to school.

3 Students have to behave in disciplined way and don't disturb the regular work of the staff.<br>

# Now students have to sit in a group wise, write down the collected information in the order formate(like story or interview form).

4 After Students visited the place, try to collect all information about the place.<br>

# Have to collect all the images,videos and audio files and put it in a computer for the student reference.

5 The other group need to take photos of the place, if required they can record as video.<br>

6 Without missing single point, students have to note down all the collected information.<br>

7 Students can record the points by using audio recorder or mobile recorder.<br>

# After students come back from the place, students have to sit as group and by discussing each other they have to write down in the story format by adding collected information.

# After they completed the writing in the paper, Now student have digitise it.

# Teacher have to help to students to write it.

# Teachers have to take students to computer lab and students have to type the same story in computer in Kannada or any local language language.

# Students can make short movie about their visits by using images, videos and audio files by using record my desktop or Openshot video tool.

# Teacher helps to students for adding picture in their story text document.

# After completion of all these work, Teachers should encourage students to present their work to all the school students and each group of students have to present their story or short movie to all the students and have share their experience.

# Students can add video or audio file with text document where ever it required.

# This process will help to student to remember all the collected information in their mind. After each group completed their story writing in computer.

# School have to arrange small event to present all the group stories. With all the students by using projector, teachers have to give only technical support to present the story by using computer.<br/>
