Process (How to do the activity)

  1. Every student must have a coin, dice, paper and pencil with him
  2. Tell the students to flip the coin and record the possible outcomes
  3. Now ask the students to flip the dice and record all the possible outcomes
  4. After noting down the possible outcomes in separate events now tell the students to flip both the coin and dice at a time and record the all possible outcomes

Developmental Questions (What discussion questions)

  1. How many outcomes you got when you flip a coin and what are those?
  2. How many outcomes you got when you flip a dice and what are those?
  3. Now can you tell me the two different events occurred here?
  4. Can we flip both the coin and dice in a single event?
  5. How many outcomes did you get when you flipped both coin and dice at a time?

Evaluation (Questions for assessment of the child)

  1. How many possible outcome you get when you flip a coin and a dice?
  2. Draw the tree diagram for the total outcomes.

Question Corner

  1. If one event can be done in 5 ways another in 4 ways then in how many different ways both events can be done
  2. If three different events occur in 'm','n'and 'p' ways respectively then in how many ways can they be occur combindly
