Inclusive Education is education for all - where the education system is responsible to provide equitable learning opportunities by making the education system accessible and responsive to all children which includes disadvantaged children who are SC/ST, minority, children with disabilities(RTE,PWD Act &NT Act) gifted, gender, urban deprived and also ensure their entitlements to achieve their learning out comes. DSERT in Karnataka has conceptualized inclusive education from a broader perspective of learners where a child from varied back ground of socio economic, cultural, disabilities, gender besides gifted and talented. It is also from the context of RTE and the disadvantaged group (Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, the Backward Class, migrant, street children, child with special needs or disabilities) on discriminatory principles on any grounds to receive free and compulsory education

Inclusive Education in the DEd syllabus has been introduced from the perspective of rights and equitable issue at the elementary level, and the concept is making the teacher education humanistic and liberal to meet the diversity in the school system through inclusive education.
