Concept #10 Sector

Learning objectives

  1. Slice of a circle enclosed between any two radii is called a sector.
  2. Semicircle and quadrant are special types of sectors.

Notes for teachers

  • Materials/ Resources needed : Laptop, geogebra file, projector and a pointer.
  • Prerequisites/Instructions, if any
  1. The students should know a circle, centre, radius,circumference and a sector.
  2. They should know that circle is a planar figure.

  2. Move the endpoints of the sector and help them understand the types of sector.
