A facilitator reads out a set of 12 phrases and simple sentences that describe six pair different outline sketches given to students in a worksheet. Each student gets a pair of different outline sketch with a crayon box. The facilitator reads out the 12 phrases/sentences which is related to the outline sketches. By listening to the phrases the students have to colour to their respective sentences given in the picture. Among all the 12 phrases, individual students gets 2 phrases each in English and Kannada.

The pictures below were printed on strips of paper with each strip having a pair of pictures. Each child was given one such strip and a crayon. The facilitator read out a set of 12 phrases in both Kannada and English that described specific objects in the different pictures given to the students. The students had to carefully listen to the phrases and colour the relevant object in their respective pictures. Each picture had one descriptive phrase in Kannada and English.
