Summary

Building rapport and getting to know each other is important to build the trust between facilitators and Kishoris. Using fun activities for ice breaking and make Kishoris comfortable with us and also buid their excitement to work with us.

Co-Facilitator: Anusha, Karthik, Shreyas

Assumptions

  1. Module will be conducted in English.
  2. All the classes have CCTV, so the Kishoris and the facilitators will be conscious.
  3. There isn’t much information available with us about the school.
  4. Number of Kishoris - 59
  5. Since it is the last period of the day Kishoris might already be tired.

Objective

  1. To establish what we will do in this project in an attractive manner (our identity)
  2. To build their excitement to work with us

Process

Greet the Kishoris.

Flash cards are made to introduce the facilitators and the Kishoris to each other. Different favourites are written in each card. An example of the card is shown as below.

Facilitators will introduce themselves using the same cards. They each will pick on card and tell their name and their favourite________ 5 minutes

Kishoris are asked to pick one card and tell their favourites along with their names according to what is written in the card. 10 minutes Once the introduction is over, Kishoris are asked to make group of 2 benches each. They are asked to discuss, “What do they think that the girls of their age want to learn?” 10 minutes

Kishoris are asked to share the same with the whole class. Whatever they tell will be written in front of them on a chart paper. 5 minutes

Kishoris are told about IT for Change and Hosa Hejje Hosa Dishe.

Kishoris will be asked if they have any questions and their questions are answered. 5 minutes The session can be ended by saying we will continue working together in the coming weeks to co create and learn different things. 5 minutes
