We will learn the following types of angles: right angles, acute angles, obtuse angles, straight angles, reflex angles and complete angle.
Objectives
Introduce children to different types of angles

Prior knowledge of point, lines, angles
Materials/ Resources needed
- Digital : Computer, geogebra application, projector.
- Non digital : Worksheet and pencil.
- Geogebra files : "Types of angles.ggb"

Process (How to do the activity)
- Prior hands on activity (optional – children can use two pieces of thread or sticks to move around a fixed point or two sticks tied with a thread).
- Vary the slider to show different angles formed
- What is observed with the change in position of the arm
- Mention the type of the angle depending on their measurements
- How does the change in arm length change the angle measure
- Vary the length of the arm to show that angle formed are independent of the arm length
- Record the values of arm lengths, values of angles and their types in the worksheet
