ಗಣಿತವು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ರಾಣಿ. ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದ ಇತರ ಶಾಖೆಗಳಾದ ಭೌತವಿಜ್ಞಾನ, ರಸಾಯನ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳು ಸಹ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದ ತಳಹದಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿವೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವೂ ಸಹ ವ್ಯಾವಹಾರಿಕ ಉದ್ದೇಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಗಣಿತದ ಬಳಕೆಯೇ ಆಗಿದೆ. ದಿನನಿತ್ಯದ ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಂತೂ ನಮಗೇ ತಿಳಿಯದಷ್ಟು ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಗಣಿತವನ್ನು ಬಳಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.
