Module 5: Audio Recording Basics – Part 2

Summary:

Learning technology helps Kishoris explore many different opportunities. With use of Audio Recoding Kishoris can gain Self Confidence, and the technology can be used by them too. Along with Audio recording, encouraging Kishoris to talk on various topic will enhance their communication skills.

Assumptions:

1. After previous week’s discussion on technology, it can be assumed that even we can use technology.
2. On our previous discussion, Kishoris have paid attention and followed on what to be done while recording.
3. Some Kishoris got into argument within group, there is a lack of self-confidence.
4. Resources available for activities are in Kannada and all Kishoris might not be able to read Kannada easily.
5. Since we nominated few Kishoris in the previous week, it might be assumed among other Kishoris that they are our favourites.
6. We had 2 Sound Recorders. And opted for simple activities but everyone might not have got the opportunity.

Objective:

1. To practise Audio basics
2. New step to enhance Kishoris’ communication skills

Process:

Recap on points to be noted, which were discussed in the previous class. This can be demonstrated with the below chart. Pictures are drawn on chart. 5 - Minutes

Form a group of two. Facilitators will demonstrate on recording in front of Kishoris.

After this group of two will beformed.

To form a group every pair is asked to call number from 1 to 4. 5- Minutes

There will be one facilitator in each group.

Groups are taken to the ground and asked to practise on recording. 20 Minutes

Everyone returns to class after recording practise. For next activity encourage 5 pairs to volunteer.

Give proverbs to volunteers and ask them to record mutually. Based on time and space availability this can be done at different place. 20 Minutes

1. Married daughter no longer remains in the parental lineage

2. The boy spoilt [his life] by idling, the girl spoilt [her life] by loitering.

3. Should not believe the men who cries for everything and similarly a lady who takes delight in everything

4. Girls should not be stubborn, boys should not have addiction

5. Younger Ones follow elders at home

6. Fix a marriage by telling 1000 lies

7. Sose sathare sobana maga sathare mane haalu

8. A wound is born with Girl child’s birth

9. Hennu huttida mane nunnage, gandu hadedavara mane thanage

10. Search for bride by her mothers character and Buy a cow by worth of its milk.

11. Childbirth pain is for Hours, infertility pain is for lifetime.

13. Girls don’t get along together

to listen & express their views. Kishoris who recorded audio should be asked to share their experience. 10 Minutes

After listening to Experience & Views of Kishoris, Recording is an easy task. Several scenarios can be explained using Recording. 10 Minutes

1 Main Facilitator, 3 Facilitators for group interaction.
