LANGUAGE LAB - ಭಾಷಾ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಾಲಯ Children have a special connection with stories. They enjoy listening to stories and are familiar with narrative conventions. As a pedagogical tool, stories can be very useful in helping develop listening, speaking and reading skills. Stories provide an ideal introduction to a second or third language as they present language in a repetitive and memorable context. The intention is to not merely read the stories by themselves and check for reading comprehension, but to enable an immersive language experience. ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕಥೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸಂಬಂಧವಿದೆ. ಅವರು ಕಥೆ ಕೇಳುವುದನ್ನು ಆನಂದಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಥೆ ನಿರೂಪಣೆ ಮಾಡುವ ರೀತಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಸಾಧನವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸುವುದು, ಆಲಿಸುವ, ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಮತ್ತು ಓದುವ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲು ಕಥೆಗಳು ತುಂಬಾ ಉಪಯುಕ್ತವಾಗಿವೆ. ಕಥೆಗಳು ಎರಡನೇ ಅಥವ ಮೂರನೇ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾದ ಪರಿಚಯವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತವೆ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವು ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಪುನರಾವರ್ತಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಬಹುದು. ಕೇವಲ ಕಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಃ ಓದುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಓದುವ ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸುವುದು ಭಾಷಾ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಾಲಯದ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, ತಲ್ಲೀನಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಭಾಷಾ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಸಕ್ರಿಯಗೊಳಿಸುವುದಾಗಿದೆ. Customized digital resources have been developed based our experiences and learnings from working with the KITE E-Language Lab (KITE WEBSITE). Stories from Pratham books’ Storyweaver have been used and some have been repurposed to create audio-visual and interactive materials for students in multiple languages (Kannada, English, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu) using FOSS tools like Xerte, Audacity and Kdenlive. Activities have been designed for students such as matching words to images,drag and drop, true or false, find the missing object, etc. There are also some open ended questions to which students can respond by drawing, writing, speaking, and discussing with their peers and teachers during the sessions. Use of such multilingual resources and approaches can ensure provision of meaningful learning opportunities for students to develop their language skills. KITE ಇ-ಭಾಷಾ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಾಲಯ (KITE ವೆಬ್ ಪುಟ) ದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ಅನುಭವಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್(ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ) ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಥಮ್ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ ಸ್ಟೋರಿವೀವರ್‌ನಿಂದ ಕಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಲವು ಉಚಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಕ್ತ ಪರಿಕರ(FOSS)ಗಳಾದ Xerte, ಆಡ್ಯಾಸಿಟೀ (Audacity) ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಡೆನ್ಲೈವ್ (Kdenlive) ಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಹು ಭಾಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ (ಕನ್ನಡ, ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷ್, ಹಿಂದಿ, ಉರ್ದು, ತಮಿಳು, ತೆಲುಗು) ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ದೃಕ್‍- ಶ್ರವಣ(ಕೇಳಿ ನೋಡುವ)ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂವಾದಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಮರುರೂಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ/ಮರುಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಸುವುದು, ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿ-ತಪ್ಪು ಗುರುತಿಸುವುದು, ಬಿಟ್ಟ ಪದ/ವಸ್ತುವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯುವುದು ಮುಂತಾದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೆಲವು ಮುಕ್ತ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಚಿತ್ರಿಸುವ, ಬರೆಯುವ, ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಮತ್ತು ಚರ್ಚಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಬಹುದು ಹಾಗೂ ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸಹಪಾಠಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಬಹುದು. ಅಂತಹ ಬಹುಭಾಷಾ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿಕಾ ವಿಧಾನಗಳ ಬಳಕೆಯು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷಾ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. |

Stories on Mobile/Android devices Language lab stories can be downloaded and played fully offline using an application named "Kiwix". PLEASE FOLLOW THESE STEPS: 1. Download the Kiwix app on your phone with this link. Also you can scan this QR code to download Kiwix 2. Install Kiwix app by tapping on the downloaded apk file. 3. Open the play store and search for Kiwix --> Tap on 'Kiwix' --> Tap on more options (three dots) --> Un-tick 'Enable Auto Update'. 4. Download the language story files of your choice in the respective Language pages that are listed above. 5. Open Kiwix app --> Tap "Library" --> It takes few seconds to scan your device and detects stories that are downloaded on your phone. (You can switch off internet data on the device) 6.
