Process (How to do the activity)
- Divide class into three activities. Children into groups of 2/3 but different groups.
- Experiments include:
- tossing two coin and recording the results
- rolling two dice and record the number of times each number comes up
- pulling out a red/ green/ blue pencil from a collection of colour pencils; two groups document this together
- extend this example by changing the number of red/green/blue pencils to be not equal in the collection
Developmental Questions (What discussion questions)
- Make a tree diagram from the same example. Define the probability of an event
- Work with the table on Page 103 of the text book
