Social change can be defined as changes in human interactions and relationships that transform cultural and social institutions. Given that change is a constant process, social change often has profound and long-term consequences for society. Some examples of such change have resulted from social movements in civil rights, women's rights, and LBGTQ+ rights. Relationships have changed, institutions have changed, and cultural norms have changed as a result of these social change movements.

Apart from these it would be great if students had an idea of real time examples of Social change. Discussions with regards to the current status of women or the example of untouchability being abolished will also be helpful.
