Simple present ಸರಳ ವರ್ತಮಾನ
# The present simple is used for established facts and things in general.
ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಸರಳವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತ ಸತ್ಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ವಿಷಯಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

# It is also used for habitual activities or routines.

Present continuous ನಿರಂತರ ವರ್ತಮಾನ ರೂಪ
# The present continuous is used for temporary actions or events going on at or around the time of speaking.
ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ನಿರಂತರವ ವರ್ತಮಾನ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಥವಾ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಅದರ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಘಟನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
"The electrician is mending a fuse."
"It's raining."
# It is used for self-made schedules, generally for the not too distant future.

Present perfect ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ವರ್ತಮಾನ
# The present perfect is used with already, just and yet to indicate recentness of a past activity.
ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ , ಈಗಷ್ಟೇ , ಇನ್ನೂ, ಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಭೂತಕಾಲದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗೆ ಈಗಿನ (ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ/ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ) ಸಮಯಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಸೂಚಿಸಲು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
"The guests have already arrived."
“The Chairman has just left the office.”
“We have not finished our work yet.”
# The present perfect is used to emphasize the results in the present of a recently completed past activity.
ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡ ಭೂತಕಾಲದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ವಾರ್ತಾಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒತ್ತಿ (ಪ್ರಾಧಾನ್ಯತೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು) ಹೇಳಲು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ವರ್ತಮಾನವ ರೂಪ ವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
"Someone has eaten my food” (which explains why the plate is empty and I'll have to go hungry) (ಇದು ಪ್ಲೇಟ್ ಏಕೆ ಖಾಲಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಯಾಕೆ ಹಸಿವಿನಿಂದ ಇರಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ)
"I've lost my passport” (hence I can't leave the country) (ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ).
# It is with ever to question a person's entire life experience of something in particular.

Present Perfect Continuous Tense ನಿರಂತರ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ವರ್ತಮಾನ ರೂಪ
# Used to emphasize activities that were in progress right up to or shortly before the time of speaking and so have a direct influence on the current situation.
ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಸಮಯದವರೆಗೆ ನಡೆಯುತಿದ್ದ ಅಥವಾ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಸಮಯದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಪೂ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳಲು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇವು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನೇರ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಬೀರುತ್ತವೆ.

ಈಗ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯು ಎಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ನಡೆಯಿತು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಗೆ, ಯಿಂದ ಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದ್ದೆ .
"Milan has been driving for three hours."
"I have been saving for my sports bike since last summer."
2. Talking about the Past ಭೂತಕಾಲದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದು
Simple past ಸರಳ ಭೂತಕಾಲ
# The past simple is used for activities or events completed at a specific time in the past (which is either understood or indicated by a time expression).
ಹಿಂದಿನ ಒಂದು ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಘಟನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರಳವ ಭೂತಕಾಲವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ (ಇದನ್ನು ಸಮಯ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಅರ್ಥೈಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಅಥವಾ ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ).
"The Indian cricket team won by 2 wickets."
"I went to London last summer."
Past Continuous Tense ನಿರಂತರ ಭೂತಕಾಲ
# It is used for temporary actions or events that were going on at or around a particular time in the past.
ಭೂತಕಾಲದ ಒಂದು ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಅದರ ಆಸುಪಾಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಘಟನೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೇಳಲು ಇದನ್ನು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
"While I was waiting for the train I ate my lunch”.
# It is also used for two activities of similar duration that were going on in parallel.
ಒಂದೇ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾನಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಎರಡು ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೇಳಲು ಇದನ್ನು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
"I was washing the car while my wife was cleaning the house."
Past perfect ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಭೂತಕಾಲ
# This tense is used to talk about the pre-past, i.e. activities or events completed before another past event.
ಈ ಭೂತಕಾಲವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ವ-ಭೂತಕಾಲದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಅಂದರೆ ಎರಡು ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ನಡೆದಿದ್ದಾಗ ಒಂದು ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯ ಅಥವಾ ಘಟನೆಯ ಮೊದಲು ನಡೆದ ಘಟನೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೇಳಲು ಇದನ್ನು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
"When we reached the station, the train had already left.”
"Jyothi had studied English for 3 years before she moved to England."
Past Perfect Continuous Tense ನಿರಂತರ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಭೂತಕಾಲ
# The past perfect continuous is used to report on an activity of interest or direct relevance that was still in progress up until or immediately prior to a subsequent event in the past.
ನಿರಂತರ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಭೂತಕಾಲವನ್ನು ಈಗಲೂ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅಥವಾ ಭೂತಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸಾಮಿಪ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಅಥವಾ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನಂತರ ನಡೆದ ಘಟನೆ, ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆ ಅಥವಾ ನೇರ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವರದಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ .
"I had been sleeping for 3 hours until you called me."
3. Talking about the Future ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದು
Simple future ಸರಳ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ
# WILL: used to express pure futurity. ಶುದ್ಧ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಲು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
(I.e. without any element of willpower). (ಅಂದರೆ ಇಚ್ಛಾಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಂಶವಿಲ್ಲದೆ).
"The sun will rise tomorrow morning."
# WILL: used for plain, informal requests, as well as orders given to subordinates.
ಸರಳ, ಅನೌಪಚಾರಿಕ ವಿನಂತಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಧೀನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಆದೇಶಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
"Darling, will you post this letter for me?"
"Sally, will you help me arrange these things, please?"
# SHALL: It is used instead of WILL in the first person singular and plural in more formal style to express futurity, especially in cases where the element of willpower is involved.
ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಲು, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಇಚ್ಛಾಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಅಂಶವು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಔಪಚಾರಿಕ ಶೈಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಪುರುಶ ಏಕವಚನ ಮತ್ತು ಬಹುವಚನದಲ್ಲಿ WILL ಬದಲಿಗೆ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
"I shall (will) be late this evening."
"We shall not (will not) go that nightclub anymore; their prices are exorbitant."
"I shall succeed!"
# SHALL: used when seeking others' approval of offers or suggestions.
ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಸಲಹೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಇತರರ ಅನುಮೋದನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೋರುವಾಗ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
"Shall I buy you a watch for your birthday?"
"Shall we all go out to dinner?"
Future continuous ನಿರಂತರ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ರೂಪ
# Used for actions or events forecast to be in progress at or around a particular time in the future.
ಭವಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಆಸುಪಾಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಘಟನೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
"The kids will be sleeping when I reach home."
“Tomorrow at this time, we shall be travelling.”
Future Perfect Tense ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ
# Used for activities or events forecast to be completed by a particular time in the future.
ಭವಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ಸಮಯದೊಳಗೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಘಟನೆಗಳ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆಗಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ .
"We will have finished our exams by Thursday”
Future Perfect Continuous Tense ನಿರಂತರ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ
# Used for activities forecast still to be in progress at some time in the future.
# ಭವಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಸಮಯದವರೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆಗಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
"By the end of 2013, we will have been flying in planes for 110 years."
