Camp Objectives

  • Develop logical thinking and understanding of sequences and problem solving skill by structuring animations.  
  • Integrate Math and Language skills into the storytelling framework using Scratch programming.
  • Encourage storytelling, vocabulary, and sentence formation using interactive animations story board and dialogues.
  • Enable students to express ideas through animations and interactive stories while building foundational coding skills.
  • Teach students how to create a storyboard by using audio, text, and animation effectively.
  • Encourage students teamwork, communication, and confidence by allowing students to create, present, and refine their Scratch projects.

Camp Agenda

Day 01 : 02/04/2025
10.00 AM to 10.20 AM Introduction to the camp Introduce the team to the students. Let the students know the brief agenda of the camp.
10.20 AM to 11.20 AM Basic ICT familiarity exercises -1 (Mouse) Use GCompris to improve mouse and keyboard skills through interactive activities.
11.30 AM to 12.30 PM Basic ICT familiarity exercises -2 (Keyboard) To help students get comfortable with the system

(Typing will help them learn the key pattern of the keyboard with their fingers)

12.30 PM to 1.00 PM Going through the exemplar of different

scratch outputs

Going through different kinds of resources created on Scratch.

(This will generate students' interest and provide some ideas.)

File 1: Animated story board to be ready
1.00 PM to 2.00 PM Lunch Break
2.00 PM to 3.30 PM Introduction to programming / concept of 'instruction'

(physical demonstration)

Helping students understand the axis (X, Y) and introducing key terms so they

become familiar with certain controls or functions

e.g., Turn, Change, Repeat, Set to, Condition, etc

3.00 PM to 4.00 PM Making students groups and selecting story Based on the students' ICT level and their participation throughout the days,

pairs will be formed to work together.


Select a story from the chits and listen to it through AntennaPod.

Day 02 : 03/04/2025
10.00 AM to 10.20 AM Recap with Graph and key words discussed Discuss the Day 1 activities, including the physical activity.
10.20 AM to 10.40 AM Basic ICT familiarity exercises -2

(Folder creation)

Students will create their folders on the computer to keep all their work for the next four days.
10.40 AM to 11.40 AM Explore the Scratch interface and basic functionalities * Sprite (the object), coding area, output screen, and background images.

* Blocks, sprites, move, forward, back, turn, and the stage for animation creation.

11.40 AM to 12.40 PM Hands-on activity: Animate a sprite

with movement, sound, and basic interactions.

* Move the sprite with some text and sound, and change it to another sprite.

* Import sprites.

* Import a background image.

* Save the file to the PDL.

To download additional Stage and

sprites will be added

12.40 PM to 1.00 PM Listening and Understanding of the

selected story

* Help students re-listen to the pre-selected story.

* Discuss possible storyboard ideas based on the Scratch features they explored.

Add all the KK stories to Systems, Get Headphone
1.00 PM to 2.00 PM Lunch Break
2.30 PM to 3.45 PM Students collaboratively write scripts and

create dialogues for their animated stories.

* Discuss the story with peers, finalize the story creation, and divide tasks among themselves.

* Students will write the images and dialogues in pairs based on listening and visualization.

(The ITFC team will assist in the finalization.)

Get few A4 Sheets with Pencils and eraser.
3.45 PM to 4.00 PM Recap the session and assign homework – students have to draw images for their story.
Day 03 : 04/04/2025
10.00 AM to 1.00 PM Creating Story board- Part 1 * Creating a project.

* Adding a background.

* Including an animated story name.

* Story creation will follow a proper sequence of events.

Sprits and background need to

Downloaded and Added to the systems

1.00 PM to 2.00 PM Lunch Break
2.00 PM to 3.30 PM Creating Story board- Part 2 Adding dialogues and animations to enhance the storytelling experience.
3.30 PM to 4.00 PM Review students' progress and assist them in completing the storyboard and adding text.
Day 04 : 07/04/2025
10.00 AM to 1.00 PM Creating Story board- Part 3 * Students will continue "Creating Storyboard – Part 2" if they have not yet * finished.

* Playing our exemplar storyboard to help them get ideas about adding audio to their storyboard.

* Helping students practice dialogues and record them.

1.00 PM to 2.00 PM Lunch Break
2.00 PM to 4.00PM Creating Story board- Part 3 * Demonstrating how to add audio to the storyboard and sequence it.

* Students start adding recorded audio files to the story scenes.

Team should load the audio by

renaming the file with sequence so

that it can added quickly

Day 05 : 08/04/2025
10.00 AM to 1.00 AM Working on the over all story board project * Student work on their project and complete and finalise the story board.

* Practice presentation with the help from ITfC team

1.00 PM to 2.00 PM Lunch Break
2.00 PM to 4.00 PM Students presentation * Students work on their project to complete and finalize the storyboard.

* They practice their presentation with help from the ITfC team.

Make a folder and copy the projects of students

to help students to present their work
