In the previous two years, teachers have been introduced to the possibilities of integrating ICTs into their working.  The programme introduced them to basics of computer literacy, use of emails and internet to interact with each other on mailing lists.  Teachers were also trained in various educational tools like Freemind, Geogebra, KGeography, KStars, KTurtle, Marble, PhET, STEP and Stellarium.  Many teachers have been using these tools to create learning resources for themselves and for classrooms.

Agenda and focus areas for the District Cascade Workshops

In the previous two years, teachers have been introduced to the possibilities of integrating ICTs into their working. The programme introduced them to basics of computer literacy, use of emails and internet to interact with each other on mailing lists. Teachers were also trained in various educational tools like Freemind, Geogebra, KGeography, KStars, KTurtle, Marble, PhET, STEP and Stellarium. In this year, the programme will focus on the following:

  1. Extend the computer literacy skills for teachers

  3. Use emails, subject mailing forums and discussion forums to communicate
  4. Build digital resource libraries
  5. Participate in the Karnataka Open Educational Resources and Contribute

Activities before the workshop
