Karnataka Open Educational Resources (KOER) is a resource repository that aims to provide relevant and contextual educational resources to all teachers and learners in Karnataka Education which aims to cover all subjects in the state syllabus from classes 1 through 12. (K1 - K12).

KOER was originally started as an initiative to publish all the resources being shared by the teachers in the Subject Teacher Forum mailing lists. The Subject Teacher Forum was an in-service teacher training conducted by the DSERT, RMSA and by [IT for Change, with support from partners. During the two years from July 2013 - Oct 2015, government school teachers of mathematics, science and social science were trained in uploading resources on the resource portal. All content created and uploaded on KOER is licensed as OER using a Creative Commons license.

KOER is being maintained by IT for Change, curating resources shared by teachers on mailing lists, resources shared by other organizations as well as from the world wide web to make a resource repository relevant to the teachers of the state.

It is a collaborative platform of teachers and teacher educators working in Karnataka, facilitated by IT for Change. If you would like to participate and contribute to the KOER project / to contact the project coordinators, email KOER[at]karnatakaeducation[dot]org[dot]in.
