Workshop highlights
The ITfC team taught the teachers, the following topics:
- demonstration of Basic Proportionality theorem (class X theorem), using Geogebra
- explaining how using Geogebra makes teaching this theorem more effective and easier
- all teachers practised the Basic Proportionality theorem construction, on their computer in the VTC Lab.
- Learning basic constructions using Geogebra – point, segment, line, ray, angles, triangles, square
- Exploring lessons using Geogebra such as angles formed by parallel lines and transversal
- Creating a slider to develop animated lessons in geometry
ITfC team also asked teachers to -
- install Geogebra in their personal computers and school computers and practice using Geogebra
- discuss with their HMs about conducting Maths class with Geogebra for select topics for making student learning more effective and easier
ITfC team can visit interested schools to-
- install Geogebra in school computers and teacher laptops
