Summary

Providing opportunity to Kishoris to know about technology and explore different possibilities to learn. By using Audio recording Kishoris will have confidence that we can also use the technology. Along with Audio recording, Kishoris should be encouraged to learn to express and talk about different topics to develop different skills.

Assumptions

  1. Due to many holidays for different festivals, there may be less attendance.
  2. Assuming Audio recording can also be done (or similar activity).
  3. Kishoris who converse in Telegu language might get Embarrassed. (In previous module we have asked Kishoris to record the same).
  4. Day by day level of trust is increasing between us.
  5. Delicate matters can also be discussed with them.

Objective

In conjunction with audio basics, previously learnt topics can also be rehearsed meaningfully.

Process

Objective:

Along with recapping  audio basics, recap all the issues discussed in the earlier modules

Process:

  • Start the conversation by enquiring each other’s well-being.
  • We will remind them about the norms to be followed in the session. (10 Minutes)
  • Recall previous week’s activities, remind about audio recording basics.
  • Call up 2 volunteers and request them to demo audio recording. If no volunteer is coming forward for the demo then facilitators themselves should do the demo.
  • Pair Kishoris and make them interview each other. The questions they can ask each other are as follows.
  • What is adolescence or teenage?  (audio interviews)
  • What is your name? What is your School name? In which class are you studying?
  • What do you know about “Hosa Hejje Hosa Dishe” (New Step New Direction)?
  • We agreed to call it “Teenage” instead of “adolescence”. As per you what is teenage?
  • We sat and discussed in group about what happens during teenage, Which topic did you discuss?
  • Would you like to say something to the girls like you who are studying in different schools?
  • Form the pairs of Kishoris into a group and ensure each group has 2 facilitators with them. (60 Minutes)
  • After concluding all the interviews come back to class. Do a feedback session with Kishoris about their interview experience.
  • “If the recorder is given to you and we ask you to interview any family members at home , on which topic would you interview them?” Write down the responses from Kishoris.
  • Conclude the session by saying “ Let us discuss different technologies in coming weeks.” (10 Minutes)
