Objectives:

  1. To help teachers immersively experience and appreciate storytelling as a pedagogy
  2. To enable teachers to access, analyze and evaluate appropriate stories and related resources for language teaching-learning from various repositories
  3. Provide opportunities for collaborative resource creation, curation and sharing
  4. To help them explore FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) tools and new digital methods to record audio-visual resources for language teaching and learning
  5. To support the teachers in building a repository with contextual multilevel, multi-modal digital resources in Marathi

1:00 – 1:45 Lunch
1:45 – 2:30 PM Go through the repositories and select 1 or 2 relevant stories for the theme chosen StoryWeaver
2:30 – 4:00 PM Try out different voice modulations for the selected story. Narrate it individually/in pairs/small groups and give peer feedback.
4 – 5 PM Initial recordings

Day 2 10 AM – 10:30 AM Settling down, recap of day 1
10:30 AM – 1 PM Deciding who plays which character, script annotation, dialogues, practice

Recording slots start from 11:00 AM

1:00 – 1:45 Lunch
1:45 – 2:00PM Listen to an exemplar audio story and reflect on their recording experience, what can be better, etc
2:00 – 4:30 PM Continue with recording
Day 3 10:00 AM – 11 AM Demo of one final Audio story - pre and post editing
11 – 1 PM Discuss resource template – resource details, meta data about resource (learning objectives, theme, grade), sound/music suggestions, technical instructions, creator name, ph. no.

Continue resource creation, documentation in template and review

1:45 – 2 Energiser
2 – 3:30 PM Continue resource creation, documentation in template and review

Small edits, re-recording parts, etc

3:30 – 4:30 Resource submission
4 – 4:30 Wrapping up, way forward, Record teachers Feedback.
