As a part of developing the Teacher Educator Communities of Practice (COP-TE), DSERT organised two workshops for DIET faculty during 2014-15

Important Things to be done in Workshop
- Build the computer literacy skills for teacher educators
- Learning to use Education Tools.
- How to use the internet as a learning resource - to create a resource library for my use and for the classroom and build digital resource libraries
- Use emails, Karnataka Teacher Educators Group to communicate
- Access the Karnataka Open Educational Resources and Contribute. Understand how resources are organized on KOER and share feedback and activities
- Develop digital literacy skills - email, internet search and downloading, using image editor and text editor

- Check email DAILY on karnataka_teachereducators@googlegroups.com (Brush your teeth at least once every day)
- To purchase your own personal laptop, visit Buy_a_laptop_or_netbook. Please read I_want_to on KOER to buy your laptop, data card, pen drive etc etc
- To purchase a smart phone, visit website where you can order your mobile phone. Please buy one with Android operating system, so that you can configure your email and Internet access on the same
